#233; à améliorer le bilan global et à dynamiser les résultats des entreprises pour lesquelles il a travaillé.

« Sous la houlette de M. Brent, Bausch + Lomb a réalisé d'énormes progrès ces dernières années. J'ai hâte de contribuer avec lui et l'ensemble de l'équipe de direction de Bausch + Lomb à permettre à l'entreprise de franchir une nouvelle étape », a indiqué M. Bertolini. « Nous avons là l'occasion rêvée de concrétiser la vision de Bausch + Lomb qui est de devenir aux yeux de nos clients et de leurs patients la meilleure société internationale de soins oculaires. Je suis ravi et honoré d'intégrer cette équipe. »

M. Bertolini a été vice-président exécutif et directeur financier de Schering-Plough de 2003 jusqu'à la fusion de la société avec Merck & Co. en 2009. À ce poste, il a travaillé avec le directeur général sur tous les aspects de la transformation des activités de la société. En plus d'être chargé d'importants dossiers financiers, dans les domaines notamment de la fiscalité, de la comptabilité et de la gestion des actifs financiers, il a créé des postes de premier plan dans les technologies de l'information et la finance et piloté la stratégie ainsi que le développement des activités de l'entreprise.

Il avait auparavant travaillé pendant 20 ans pour PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP où il a occupé différents postes à responsabilités croissantes, avant de devenir finalement associé chargé des pratiques du secteur pharmaceutique mondial.
