Bausch + Lomb ernennt Robert Bertolini zum Präsident und Chief Financial Officer

Vorher war Herr Bertolini seit 2003 Executive Vice President und Chief Financial Officer der Schering-Plough Corporation, bis diese im Jahr 2009 mit Merck & Co. fusionierte. Während seiner Anstellung arbeitete Bertolini bei allen Aspekten der Neustrukturierung der Geschäftsabläufe des Unternehmens als Geschäftspartner mit dem Chief Executive Officer zusammen. Er trug Verantwortung für wichtige Finanzbereiche, wie unter anderem für die Steuerzahlung, die Buchhaltung und die Verwaltung der finanziellen Vermögenswerte. Unter anderem entwickelte er erstklassige Finanz- und IT-Funktionen und leitete die Bereiche Geschäftsentwicklung und Strategie. 

Zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt in seiner Karriere war er 20 Jahre lang für PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP tätig, wo er mit wachsender Verantwortung verschiedene Positionen bekleidete, schließlich Partner wurde und den Bereich der globalen Pharmabranche leitete. In dieser Funktion war Bertolini Seniorberater für das oberste Management einiger der bekanntesten Gesundheitsunternehmen für Finanz- und allgemeine Geschäftsfragen, wie unter anderem zu Lizenzvereinbarungen, Fusionen & Akquisitionen, Börsengängen, strategischen Partnerschaften, Audits, Finanzkontrollen und zur Betriebsführung.
