SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BASIS Science, Inc., creators of the Basis™ B1 band, today announced the appointment of an advisory board that includes medical, social and gaming luminaries including Kevin Colleran, Charles and Kai Huang, and Daniel Kraft MD. Basis also announced it has hired Chris Verplaetse to join the company's executive team as vice president of device development.
Due to be launched later this year, the Basis B1 band is the world's first connected heart rate and health tracker wearable on the wrist. Convenient and customizable, the multi-sensor Basis B1 band continuously collects data like heart rate, calories burned, physical activity and sleep patterns. It links to a personal online dashboard where users can easily view performance, share data, earn rewards, and engage with the Basis community.
