BC Technical Acquires Polaris Medical Imaging
Date:8/29/2014

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Aug. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BC Technical, the nation's leading non-OEM provider of Medical Imaging Solutions, has acquired Polaris Medical Imaging, a leader in sales, service and installation of GE MRI and CT scanners. This strategic acquisition allows BC Technical to continue to expand their resources and inventory while strengthening their capabilities, specifically within MR and CT modalities.

"We are committed to driving higher quality, lower cost service," said Mark Alvarez, president and CEO of BC Technical. "We set out to become the only true alternative to the OEM, and that's exactly what we've done. We have no plans to slow down."

Polaris, based in Houston, TX., provides service, systems and parts for GE MRI and CT systems. Former partners, Rob Maley and Ted Tudic, started the company eight years ago and have devoted their careers to growing the organization into what it is now, one of the industry's most respected companies.

"Not only does BC Technical offer the same quality service and products that we do, but their reputation within the industry speaks for itself. They were the obvious choice for us," Ted stated.  Rob Maley added "We were at a point of growth that required additional resources and we knew BC Technical was the perfect springboard to take Polaris to the next level."

The Field Engineer talent and resources included in this acquisition help solidify BC Technicals position as the leading nationwide, independent service, systems and parts provider for CT, MR, NM, PET and PET/CT, and the only viable alternative to the OEM.
