Aware Inc. Introduces AccuRad ImageShare(TM) Platform at RSNA 2009

ewing features."

An electronic health record (EHR) is incomplete without diagnostic images. Imagery from prior exams provides historic and baseline information that is valuable to healthcare providers in formulating a diagnosis and monitoring the condition of the patient. When they do not have access to prior scans, they often order rescans, which wastes money and resources.

Fast, ubiquitous access to medical images through an EHR system connected to an HIE enables convenient usage of healthcare information collected outside the boundaries of the healthcare enterprise. The AccuRad ImageShare Platform offers a new solution that leverages Aware's standards-based JPEG2000 compression and JPIP streaming technology to enable users in constrained networks across multiple enterprises fast access to diagnostic quality images.
