Atrium Provides Grant to Establish Education Web Site at AtriumU.com

HUDSON, N.H., April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Atrium Medical Corporation has provided an educational grant to establish an educational web site, Atrium University, at www.AtriumU.com.  "Atrium has been proud to be the market leader in educational support for our customers," said Jeff McGill, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications. "With recent changes in guidelines for companies' interactions with nurses and physicians, we decided to emphasize our commitment by clearly separating professional education resources from our product-specific training and support materials."  

The Atrium University site will provide continuing education for nurses, resources for educators, an evidence center with summaries of research about care of patients who require chest drainage, an "ask the expert" feature, and issues of Clinical Update, an award-winning quarterly newsletter started in 1997. Content is managed by Nurse's Notebook, LLC, a nurse-owned educational company headquartered in Connecticut.
