kt doordat het bedrijf te werk kon gaan in een groter geografisch gebied binnen het continent waardoor het bedrijf nu over onafhankelijke locaties beschikt in meer dan 21 landen en daarnaast een r & d-terrein en drie productiefaciliteiten.

Astellas heeft ongeveer 850 fulltime medewerkers (fte's) in Nederland, die werken op twee locaties, in Leiden en Meppel.
