After a dozen years of just trying to stay out of health crises, Rachael said her life blossomed from illness to wellness when she received a kidney in 2002. Rachael's professional, volunteer and educational choices have consequently stemmed from her transplant experience. For example, he has led her state's hospice organization and sat on committees for the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and the National Kidney Foundation.
