Aprima and MednetwoRx Partner to Provide Electronic Health Records and Remote Hosting Option to Physician Practices
Date:9/30/2009

DALLAS, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Aprima Medical Software (originally iMedica), a leading developer of electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) systems for medical practices, today announced a reseller and application hosting partnership with Texas-based MednetwoRx. The announcement provides Aprima's physician practice clients with the option to have the Aprima software hosted off-site, an approach some practices will find to be a cost-effective alternative to traditional on-site data storage. Furthermore, the relationship enables MednetwoRx to resell the Aprima EHR and PM solution.

"Aprima's EHR is fully functional, easily deployable and offers all the bells and whistles for a great price," said Mark Johnson, President of MednetwoRx. "The opportunity to partner with Aprima makes sense for us and for our customers and potential customers. It will help physician practices meet ARRA guidelines along with providing them choices that can relieve the burden of data storage."

Aprima and MednetwoRx entered into the reseller agreement in September 2009 and will provide physician practices nationwide with Aprima's single-application EHR and PM solution. Aprima's unique, template-free design enables providers to follow their own protocols. Its adaptive learning feature speeds adoption and deployment and its single database design affords users with the fastest access to clinical and financial data. Aprima's flexible pricing plan makes sense for everyone from a solo rural practitioner to a multi-specialty urban practice.

Aprima's partnership with MednetwoRx allows physicians to choose between on-site data storage and storing data off-site at a secure central repository hosted by MednetwoRx. In a hosted environment, physicians and practice managers can connect to the data from any location, eliminating the need for a full-scale software implementation on-site. In addition, MednetwoRx provides redundancy and backup and saves practices from procuring and maintaining servers and server software.

"The agreement with MednetwoRx opens the door to a whole new aspect of data management and level of technical expertise for our physicians and for Aprima," said Michael Nissenbaum, President and CEO of Aprima. "We, along with MednetwoRx, look forward to not only providing U.S. physicians with our fully functional EHR/PM solution, but also ensuring that they have the flexibility they need to be most productive."
