Do You Underestimate Your Own Power in Health Care Decisions?

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- For anyone interested in how to live a vibrant and healthy life at any age, or to turn around current health issues, the Charlotte Anti-Aging Expo & Symposium may have the answers right in your own backyard.

The Charlotte Anti-Aging Expo & Symposium is this year's premier health and wellness event in the queen city. With expert speakers and over 60 exhibitors, product demonstrations and plenty of prizes, this event is intended to shift your thinking about your health. The one day event is on Saturday, March 28th, 2009, at the Charlotte Merchandise Mart.

Sally Gilbert, creator of Health in Production, saw a need within her own life, her friends and the Charlotte area to be more connected with health and wellness providers in their community. She believes that individuals are being matched with care that doesn't fit their needs and because of this, are frustrated with their results. Her goal is to inform and guide consumers through the many options available to maximize their longevity and quality of life.

"It's about empowerment. With the right information and resources properly organized, personal empowerment ensues, enabling an individual's confidence and ability to make health decisions best suited for their unique needs." says Gilbert.

Speakers featured in the symposium include M.D.'s, D.O.'s and N.D.'s that are leaders in the health and wellness community of Charlotte. All of them not only speak nationwide, but are also published authors within their respective fields. Additional exhibitors and presenters include nurse practitioners, nutritionists, acupuncturists and physical therapists. Throughout the day, these experts will be available for one-on-one questions.

Topics at the event include Managing Hormonal Imbalances through Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy; The 3 Fundamental Keys to Wellness; A Decision Tree for Vibrant Living; Depression Free without Drugs; Anti-Aging from the Inside-Out; Myths and Facts about Supplements; Homeopathy Explained; Healthy Home Strategies; Acupuncture Explained & Demonstrated; The Safe Exercise Workout; Joint Fitness; The 7 Toxicities.

Attendees will get to try and buy natural products and services. A better understanding of technologies such as energy medicine, applied kinesiology; NASA supplementation used for astronauts, weight loss solutions, experience yoga and Pilates, the latest science in skin care, stress reduction, lifestyle choices, and more is available to event attendees.

Additionally, a portion of ticket proceeds benefit the Free Clinics in Mecklenburg County. Visit www.CharlotteAntiAgingExpo.com for more information.
