American Regent Resumes Shipment of Injectable Products

SHIRLEY, N.Y., May 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Regent announced today that it had resumed the shipment of its multisource injectable products on May 5, 2011.  Release of products is being prioritized and American Regent is working closely with the FDA Drug Shortage Staff to ensure that supplies of critically needed medications are available for patient care.

Please Note: Products have been shipped and are available from your local Wholesaler or Distributor.

In addition to Venofer® (iron sucrose injection, USP), the following products have been released and shipped:Atropine Sulfate Injection, USPCaffeine Citrate Injection, USPChromic Chloride Injection, USPConcentrated Zinc Sulfate Injection, USPDehydrated Alcohol Injection, USPDopamine HCL Injection, USPDroperidol Injection, USPGlycopyrrolate Injection, USPHydroxyzine HCL Injection, USPIron Dextran Injection, USP (Dexferrum®)L-Cysteine HCL Injection, USPMultitrace® -4 (Trace Elements Injection 4, USP)Multitrace® -4 Concentrate (Trace Elements Injection 4, USP - Concentrate)Multitrace® -5 Concentrate (Trace Elements Injection 5, USP - Concentrate)Neostigmine Methylsulfate Injection, USP  Nitroglycerin Injection, USPPapaverine HCL Injection, USPPhenylephrine HCL Injection, USPPotassium Phosphates Injection, USPSodium Phosphates Injection, USPAmerican Regent can confirm that these products were manufactured in accordance with cGMP and quality requirements and that they meet all USP and other internal monograph and quality release specifications.
