AltMed Florida Scheduled to Open its First Pinellas County Medical Cannabis Dispensary in Clearwater on July 27
Date:7/24/2019

AltMed Florida, the fastest growing MMTC in the state (source: OMMU) has announced the opening of its first MÜV™ Medical Cannabis Dispensary in Clearwater at 29901 U.S. Highway 19 North. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 at 10 a.m. (pending final required approvals).

This seventh MÜV Dispensary to open in Florida will offer an extensive selection of award-winning products including flower, pre-rolls, shatter and the widest range of concentrates in the state.

The dispensary is conveniently located in the New York Diamond Center Plaza, on a very busy retail corridor on Hwy-19, less than a mile south of Curlew Road (SR 536) – providing easy highway access. It’s next door to a Pep Boys and a McDonald’s is across the street.

Doors are scheduled to open for the first time at 10 a.m. July 27 for licensed Florida medical cannabis patients, who will receive 25% off their entire first purchase. The first 100 patients will also receive a MÜV SWAG bag with their purchase. Patients can order online at http://www.altmedflorida.com for express pickup or delivery beginning Monday, July 29.

Like AltMed Florida’s six current MÜV Dispensary locations (Tampa, Sarasota, Wellington/West Palm, Apollo Beach, Longwood/Orlando and Jacksonville), the new Clearwater dispensary stands out from others because it’s designed as a premium experience. Think Apple store, with a modern, open-concept design and expert staff with extensive training. Patients can also see real-time, strain specific inventory at http://www.altmedflorida.com where they can order for express pickup or delivery within a 25-mile range.

“Our dispensaries set the standard for quality products, service and overall patient experience at our current locations and we’re excited to offer our premium MÜV medical cannabis brand in Pinellas County,” said AltMed Florida CEO John Tipton. “Our dispensaries are unlike anything in Florida and we invite all licensed patients in the area to visit our new state-of-the-art Clearwater location.”

The MÜV brand already has a wide following in other legal medical cannabis markets, including Arizona, where it has won five Best of Arizona medical cannabis awards.

MÜV products offer an extensive variety of delivery options and formulations, including several that are unique among current Florida license holders with its patent-pending transdermal gels and metered dose inhalers. Products come in a variety of delivery methods and formulations within each delivery method to assure every patient has a product to meet their desired outcome. Product categories include flower, pre-rolls, topicals (pain relief cream), 72-hour transdermal patches, metered dose inhalers, distillate vaporizer pens (without any cutting agents), strain specific vaporizer pens and cartridges, oral spray, tinctures, capsules (soon to be released) as well as the widest selection of strain specific concentrates in the state of Florida.

MÜV products are sold exclusively in Florida at MÜV dispensaries because, unlike other states, Florida does not allow wholesale of product between license holders - only products that license holders make themselves can be sold in their dispensaries.

“The MÜV retail experience speaks to the role of medical cannabis products in the modern healthcare marketplace,” said AltMed Marketing Director Todd Beckwith. “We learned that MÜV customers in other legal medical cannabis states are more apt to take an active role in their healthcare than with traditional medicine. They want to understand the products and the research behind the products, so we have created a layered and informative retail experience.”

AltMed Florida is on pace to open 30 MÜV Medical Cannabis Dispensaries across the state, 12 of those by year’s end, and all supplied by its 180,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cultivation facility.
