Alphaport Named Winner of CorpU's Excellence and Innovation Award

CLEVELAND, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Alphaport Inc. announced that it has received the award for "Best Practice in Learning Technology" at the 14th annual CorpU Learning Excellence and Innovation Awards. CorpU, the leading talent development insight and education provider, presented the awards on April 22, 2013 as part of the 14th annual Global Leadership Congress at the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology in Philadelphia, PA. This is the second consecutive year Alphaport has received an innovation award from CorpU.

The CorpU Best Practice in Learning Technology was awarded to Alphaport in recognition of its work in creating an effective and cost-efficient learning environment for the NASA Safety Center (NSC) in Cleveland, OH. Alphaport developed over 100 different eLearning courses for NASA's STEP program, utilizing unique learning and human performance technology tools and processes. Using this advanced learning system, NASA not only saved millions in travel costs and participants' time, it also realized a 400% return on investment.  

The CorpU Awards for Learning Excellence and Innovation is the longest-running independent evaluation of corporate learning and talent programs. The awards honor corporate, non-profit and governmental learning organizations that improve both business and employee performance through Alignment, Alliances, Branding, Launching, Leadership Development, Learning Technology, and Measurement. A panel of independent expert judges from companies including Coca-Cola, Konica Minolta, Mars, and Microsoft scored the award applicants based on various criteria specific to each category.
