Advanced Radiology Opens 3 Tesla MRI in Owings Mills, MD

OWINGS MILLS, Md., Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The new 3 Tesla (3T) MRI unit at Advanced Radiology's Owings Mills Center has a magnetic force 60,000 times stronger than the earth's magnetic field. That power lets radiologists view tiny problems in small joints, the brain, spine and abdomen - in greater detail than ever before. Advanced Radiology also offers a wide range of Open MRI and other MRI services in more than 20 radiology centers in Maryland.

When doctors need highly detailed, precise images to diagnose your health problem, this magnet can help.  Somewhat like a high definition television that has more pixels for a sharper image, the 3T MRI offers more pixels to provide a clearer image. That can lead to a more definitive or earlier diagnosis.

3T MRI complements rather than replaces 1.5T MRI and high strength Open MRI, which continue to be appropriate for most imaging needs.

Located at 2 Park Center Court, off Reisterstown Rd., the new Owings Mills Center also offers a 40 slice CT scanner and digital X-ray.  Highly specialized radiologists staff the beautiful new imaging center.
