Acuo Technologies Announces New Enterprise Capabilities with Latest Software Release

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Feb. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Acuo Technologies®, a market leading provider of comprehensive software solutions to the medical imaging industry for archiving, collaboration and migration services, is pleased to announce the availability of the latest release of its market leading Vendor Neutral Archive software solution.  This release adds significant enterprise capabilities including cloud-enablement, workflow services, and improved performance and scalability.

Acuo's latest release enhances support for innovative storage solutions through a cloud-enablement strategy.  The storage virtualization capabilities of the DICOM Services Grid suite of products were enhanced to integrate directly to cloud storage solutions as well as virtualization of the clinical application stack with multi-tenet capabilities being integrated and offered by cloud solution providers.

"The 5.3 release of Acuo's DICOM Services Grid adds support for a workflow services layer composed of Web Services and RESTful interfaces, augmenting our SOA capabilities," said Razvan Atanasiu, Acuo's VP of Engineering.  The workflow services layer provides access to third parties, HIE/portal solutions, cloud and other providers of Acuo's solutions to drive data movement, prefetching, tag mapping/morphing, and access to clinical content under management within the archive.
