Action Fabricators Expands its Footprint in the Healthcare Industry With the Launch of Laminin Medical Products
Date:6/21/2010

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Action Fabricators announced today it has expanded its medical division with the launch of Laminin Medical Products (www.LamininMedical.com), which will focus on the engineering, manufacturing and assembly/packaging of medical products under contract with the Medical Device industry.  Laminin, with the help of a Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) grant through their Economic Development Job Training (EDJT) Program, showcased its new business venture at the Medical Design and Manufacturing Show earlier this month in New York City.

With the introduction of Laminin, Action Fabricators leveraged its more than two decades of experience in manufacturing adhesive-backed products for various industries and its seven years serving the medical industry to uniquely position the company as a leader in contract manufacturing and packaging for medical suppliers.

"With the strong support and relationships Action Fabricators already has in the manufacturing space, Laminin is uniquely poised to gain an early leadership position in the wound care and medical device markets," said Jon Rudolph, President of Action Fabricators.  "We see tremendous potential as we continue to grow our presence in the medical market and expect to bring new expertise and new job opportunities to the region.

"We have made a significant investment in product development, clean-room manufacturing space, and in serving the customized needs of medical suppliers, and believe Laminin will help us accelerate our growth."

Laminin is an FDA-registered company that offers a powerful blend of state-of-the-art technology and clean rooms, experience in materials conversion, and more than two decades of collaborative supplier relationships through its parent company, Action Fabricators.

The origin of the name Laminin comes from a protein by the same name found in most cells and organs, which serves the primary function of binding together vital membranes necessary for survival.  Action Fabricators incorporates this message within the framework of its business, working toward an uncompromising commitment to values and providing the highest level of integrity to its customers and suppliers.
