Date:12/29/2010

BEAVERTON, Ore., Dec. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of the Help America Hear Program, Accurate Hearing & Audiology fits the first approved candidate with hearing instruments at no cost. Orville "Frank" Norris, a resident of Southeast Portland, came into the Beaverton clinic because of hearing concerns.  With the development of the Help America Hear Program, those that have hearing loss and limited financial resources can receive the hearing healthcare they need – including hearing instruments.

Whether financially able or not, people dealing with hearing loss and its emotional and physical effects, require the proper care and hearing instruments to fit their unique needs.  The professionals at Accurate Hearing & Audiology Clinics understand the importance of better hearing.  "When the opportunity to support a program focused on those who need help hearing came about, we were eager to volunteer our time and resources to the cause," says Todd E. Williams, M.A. HIS, Managing Partner.

Michael Palenski, M.A. FAAA, audiologist at Accurate Hearing & Audiology Clinics, said, "It felt great to know I was making someone's life better.  The Help America Hear Program is a worthwhile cause that I look forward to participating in the future as more and more people learn about it."  The audiologist provided Mr. Norris with a comprehensive hearing evaluation and fit him with new, full-featured hearing instruments – all at no cost to the patient.

The Help America Hear Program was founded in 2008 by the Foundation for Sight and Sound.  It was developed to provide hearing aids to individuals across the nation with limited financial resources.  To apply for the program, contact Accurate Hearing & Audiology Clinics at 503-924-7430 and schedule a free consultation.  Accurate Hearing & Audiology has two locations;Cornell Medical Plaza
