AAIPharma Services Announces Promotion of Dean Shirazi

WILMINGTON, N.C., March 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AAIPharma Services Corp., a leading provider of pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing services, announced today the promotion of Dean Shirazi, Ph.D., to Vice President, Analytical Development. Shirazi will assume the position effective April 4, 2011.


Dean Shirazi, who joined AAIPharma in June 1992 as a Senior Scientist, has served in a variety of key positions, including Director of Method Development, Divisional Director, and, most recently, Senior Director of the Analytical Group. He is a nationally recognized, published expert in the field of chromatography.

Dr. Shirazi received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Georgetown University. He conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Tennessee as a research associate. His areas of interest are High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), chiral separation and optimization of experimental condition in chromatography.
