50 Indian Companies to Collectively Invest $500 Million in US Market

HYDERABAD, India, February 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

50 Indian companies have recently indicated they will collectively invest over $500 million in the US market by either acquiring a US business or setting up their own operations in the US. The investments are planned across diverse industry sectors including:

  1. Transportation and trucking business
  2. Herbal extracts
  3. Plastics manufacturing
  4. Textiles
  5. Spiritual products
  6. OTC pharma, hospital care products and nutraceuticals
  7. Jewelry
  8. Embedded hardware
  9. Software development and mobile applications development
  10. Dental products

These companies participated in the recent six-city "Doing Business In The US" workshop program conducted between January 28 and February 8, 2013 in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi.

The workshops were organized by Business in America Conferences based in Washington D.C. and were managed by ULG Marketing Solutions, a marketing research and event organizing service based in Hyderabad. Presenters at the workshops included senior US attorney Mr. Thomas Joy , senior advisor for staffing and mobility Dr. James R Ziegler, and Mr. Venkat Ramineni , entrepreneur, investor and mentor. Speakers addressed the queries of attendees and presented numerous scenarios on how Indian companies successfully do business in the US.
