3D FS-Composer Added to 3D Composer Series

MATUYAMA-CITY, Japan, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- FA System Engineering Co., Ltd., has added the 3D FS-Composer to its 3D Composer series. The 3D FS-Composer converts two HD-SDI streams of video output signals (L/R channels) from 3D HD cameras into high-definition images for display on the Panasonic and Sony models of frame sequential (FS) 3D TVs.

You can enjoy 3D pictures by installing an FS 3D TV in side-by-side mode. Input is in the 4:2:2 format – 1080 60i and 1080 59.94i (automatically detected).

At CEATEC JAPAN 2010, we will display 3D high-definition footage of medical content on a 46-inch 3D monitor to enable viewers to experience highly realistic sensation. The footage depicts heart surgery on a Blu-ray disk.

Unlike visually limited 2D video images, 3D high-definition medical images promise to contribute to the development of sophisticated medical technologies in the near future.

The 3D video system features image quality that permits the display of in-depth body scenes and fine details of surgery only available in 3D images.

In addition to being a useful tool to chronicle study and training of surgery technologies, the new system will help surgeons to conduct advanced surgery by combining their own visual information with 3D high-definition footage.
