18. EHA-Kongress - Europäischer Hämatologenverband

Durch die Einführung eines Jahresthemas im Juni 2012 konnte der europäische Hämatologenverband das Thema Lebensqualität in der Hämatologie erfolgreich ins Bewusstsein der Öffentlichkeit rücken und regte zu Konferenzen, Publikationen und Berichten an.

Zum Abschluss des diesjährigen Themas im Juni 2013 werden unter anderem zwei Editorials in der Haematologica veröffentlicht: "Patients' needs in hematology: whose perspectives?" ("Die Bedürfnisse der Patienten in der Hämatologie: wessen Perspektiven?") und "Age and Aging in blood disorders: EHA Theme of the Year 2013-2014" ("Alter und Alterung bei Blutkrankheiten: EHA-Thema des Jahres 2013-2014"). Die wissenschaftliche Arbeitsgruppe Lebensqualität und Symptome organisiert eine Sitzung mit dem Thema "Implementation of treatment related patient-reported outcomes in routine clinical practice in hematological malignancies" ("Anwendung von Therapiebeurteilungen aus Patientensicht in der klinischen Routinepraxis bei malignen hämatologischen Erkrankungen"). Obwohl jedes Jahresthema eingeführt wird, um einen bestimmten Bereich der Hämatologie besonders hervorzuheben, bleiben alle Themen aktiv. Die Lebensqualität bleibt also auf der Agenda.

In diesem Jahr wird der EHA-Kongress zum ersten Mal durch ein dediziertes Lobby-Programm ergänzt. Das Programm integriert am Samstag alle Sitzungen rund um Patienten und Politik in eine einzige, umfassende Ganztagsveranstaltung.

Die Patientenlobby eröffnet das Programm mit einer Sitzung, bei der verschiedene Referenten, Patientenvertreter und andere Experten die Frage erörtern, wie Patienten als Partner in die klinische Forschung involviert werden können. Zudem soll diskutiert werden, wie problematische Themen wie die Einwilligung nach erfolgter Aufklärung, Versuchsergebnisse und die
