"Wells Pharmacy Network" a Premier Compounding Pharmacy Focused on Serving the Unique Needs of the Medical and Veterinarian Communities Opens in Wellington

WELLINGTON, Fla., Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wells Pharmacy Network President, Robert L. Wilbur, Pharm.D., CPh is pleased to announce the opening of Wells Pharmacy's corporate headquarters. Located in Wellington, Florida, this state of the art compounding pharmacy is focused on serving the unique needs of the medical and veterinarian communities.

Compounding combines the art and skill of pharmacy with the latest medical knowledge and technology. This skill and technology allows trained professionals to prepare customized medications to meet each animal's or persons' specific needs. Pharmacists can customize dosages and strengths of medications, create alternate dosage forms, compound discontinued or hard to find medications, assist with access to supply shortages and also add flavoring to medications to make them more palatable.

Located at 11120 S. Crown Way, Suite 11 in the Wellington Business Center, the Wells team is prepared to support Vets at the show grounds, trainers in the saddle and on the track and is building a hands on reputation within the community. "We are excited to bring our experience, our team's skill, knowledge and passion to Wellington and look forward to being part of the solution when there is a need for customized medications," said Robert Wilbur. "Our pharmacy is truly one of a kind and we are committed to the strict requirements for compounding non-sterile and sterile preparations. A particular strength we have is individualizing therapeutic options on a patient by patient basis to optimize outcomes and ensure compliance in human and veterinarian patients."

Choosing the location for the pharmacy was clear to the team from the start. A location with close proximity to the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) was imperative. The mission is to support the unique needs of the equestrian community as it has previously been underserved. Beginning in December, horses from all over the world travel t o WEF to compete in a variety of events. This creates a need for veterinarians, trainers, owners and pharmacists to collaborate and keep the animals healthy. The Wells Team understands zero tolerance, cross-contamination and drug testing in the competition world. A testament to this understanding is our pharmacist in charge is an active competitor in the Wellington and national Dressage circuits.

Wells Pharmacy is Wellington's premier compounding pharmacy focused on providing customized medications for the unique needs of people, pets and performance animals. Precision, professionalism and compassion is what the Wells Pharmacy compounding team delivers with every prescription. Call 855.WELLSRX (855.935.5779) for answers or visit Wells Pharmacy at 11120 S.
