Features The iQ200 auto-identifies and processes barcoded tube specimens in 10-position racks by mixing, sampling, and analyzing automatically. Urine particles in the sample are imaged in a planar flowcell that hydrodynamically orients and constrains particles within the focal plane of a microscope objective. The resolution is sufficient to distinguish between RBCs and WBCs and the field of view is large enough to image complete casts and epithelial cell sheets. A CCD digital camera captures five hundred frames per sample. Individual particle images are isolated within each frame. Size, shape and texture features are used by the APR software to classify each image into one of 12 categories: RBCs, WBCs, WBC Clumps, Hyaline Casts, Unclassified Casts, Squamous Epithelial Cells, Non-squamous Epithelial Cells, Bacteria, Yeast, Crystals, Mucus and Sperm. Particle concentration is calculated using the number of images and the volume scanned. User-defined release criteria are checked and results are sent to an operator review screen or directly uploaded to the LIS based on these criteria. Specimen results can be edited, archived, retrieved, imported, exported and formatted into custom reports.
Description The Iris Diagnostics iQ200 Automated Urine Microscopy Analyzer (iQ200) uses digital imaging and Auto-Particle Recognition (APR) software to classify urine particles into 12 categories and quantitatively report results. The iQ200 eliminates most technologist time used to prepare and interpret particle images by automating specimen preparation, image recognition and interpretation. Automated flow imaging analysis also provides a visual result as is found in standard microscopic analysis. The iQ200 can function as a stand-alone microscopy analyzer or as part of the iQ200 Automated Urinalysis System with the AUTION MAX AX-4280 Automated Urine Chemistry Analyzer.
