Features Patented air-based esthesiometer. Doesn't poke holes in the epithelium or alter sensation as its tests (vs Cochet-Bonnet). Tests nonpainfully even in normals (vs. Draeger's device).
Description An air-based corneal esthesiometer that can stimulate subthreshold at corneal apex in normals. Has use in determining corneal physiology, healing, etc. May have application to the measurement of normal-tension glaucoma.
