Description The Vidiera NsD Nucleic Sample Detection Platform provides fully automated detection of nucleic acids, post amplification. The new platform for molecular pathology labs separates DNA molecules by capillary electrophoresis (CE), with software features that deliver a high degree of productivity and flexibility. Vidiera NsD has the capacity to run two 96-well plates, and the second plate can be added while the first plate is running. This plate flexibility allows technicians to add rush samples during the run.

Vidiera NsD significantly reduces technician time required to separate nucleic acids for further analysis, running batches of eight samples in as little as 30 minutes. Furthermore, the technician can rapidly change onboard supplies such as separation gels and capillary arrays, which reduces set up time. An extension of Beckman Coulters leadership in CE for research applications, the new Vidiera NsD is offered with accessories to assist high-complexity laboratories in developing assays in the fields of hematology, oncology, cardiovascular health and inherited disorders. The Vidiera NsD platform can be integrated with Beckman Coulters new Vidiera NsP Nucleic Acid Sample Preparation Platform. This instrument is currently only available in the United States.
