| Item | VICRYL (polyglactin 910) woven mesh |
| Features | |
| Description | Provides a more occlusive wrap than VICRYL knitted mesh. Especially suitable for injuries where wound transudate must be contained. Predictable absorption. Polyglactin 910 has been found to be inert, nonantigenic, and nonpyrogenic. VICRYL (polyglactin 910) woven mesh is prepared from a synthetic absorbable copolymer of glycolide and lactide, derived respectively from glycolic and lactic acids. This tightly woven mesh is prepared from uncoated, undyed fiber identical in composition to that used in VICRYL (polyglactin 910) synthetic absorbable suture, which has been found to be inert, nonantigenic, nonpyrogenic and to elicit only a mild tissue reaction during absorption. VICRYL woven mesh is intended for use as a buttress to provide temporary support during the healing process. |
