    • Description Within the last decade KMI® revolutionized the wrist arthroplasty market with the introduction of the Universal Total Wrist System. We're at it again, with the release of the next generation product, the Universal2. Like the original, the Universal2 System continues to transform the way patients live with debilitating arthritis. To date, we now have over 12 years of clinical history, with surgeons and patients continuing to report strong results a restored range of motion coupled with significant pain reduction. Extended clinical follow-up of implants has validated the efficacy of the system's truly unique design; combining an intercarpal fusion with the arthroplasty, and utilizing two peripheral screws for carpal component fixation.. Complications such as carpal plate loosening or failure have been virtually eliminated.
