The Nichamin Inserter

ProductsThe Nichamin Inserter
Company Rhein Medical, Inc.
Item The Nichamin Inserter
Features
Description This inserter is designed for insertion of Alcon Acrylic, Chiron/Iolab LI-41 and Pharmacia & Upjohn 920 Ceeon foldable lenses. The blades are taller and thinner, maximizing the surface area around the folded optic. This feature prevents lens migration during loading and insertion, and makes it easy to locate the sweet spot on the folded lens optic. The special direct-acting jaws release the lens very slowly and with unprecedented control, and the blades are bowed to exert less pressure on the thicker optics of these second generation implants. The handles have a special ridge along the spine offering tactile feedback and improved balance. The inserter is calibrated for loading with the Nichamin Loader. The instrument is available angled with a lock, and is provided with a complimentary instructional video tape.
