Features Self stabilizing clamp - a unique design enables a surgeon to position a hook/counter hook on the vertebrae, which provides secure fixation, reducing the concern of hook displacement during rod positioning and derotation procedures. The clamp allows additional compression/distraction capabilities at each instrumented vertebral segment. Universal hooks - all hooks can be used as stand-alone implants or as a clamp utilizing a counter-hook pin. Polyaxial screw - allows anatomical screw placement and easy rod positioning. Low profile implants - to facilitate insertion and improve patient comfort. Titanium alloy - optimized component strength characteristics.
Description Spine System Evolution offers the latest technology in spinal instrumentation to treat a variety of spinal pathologies including degenerative lumbar spine, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, scoliosis, fractures and tumors. It is also intended for the treaent of severe spondylolisthesis (grades 3 and 4) of the L5-S1 vertebra. Levels of pedicle screw fixation for this indication are from L3-S1. When used as a non-pedicle screw system, use in patients with degenerative disc disease for posterior fixation from levels T1 through S1.
