Features Modern piezoelectric ultrasonic trans-formers, offering a high degree of effectiveness and ultrasonic, elastic-oscillation probes built in strong titanium alloy, allow for removal of large sections of tissue to a degree incomparable with other types of instruments of this kind. Laminar keys, digital readings and an overall view of operation parameters by means of symbols located on the front panel of the generator make this equipment easier to use. The general design ensures perfect hygiene. Electronic tuning provides correct modulation and fully automatic stabilization of the resonance frequency of the instruments during operation and after changing instruments. Exposure to ultrasound can be continuous or pulsed as required. The equipment is mobile and can be prepared and set up in just a few minutes. No lengthy assembly operations are necessary. The ultrasonic handpieces, cables and tubings can be autoclaved up to a max. temperature of 134C/+2.3 bar or gas sterilized. The low-noise suction device connected with the internal, low-pressure regulation system offers a highly dynamic aspiration force. The double pedal-footswitch of the SONOTOM ultrasonic aspirator actuates the comminution + aspiration + irrigation functions, or aspiration + irrigation functions only.
