Whether for intraoperative or postoperative applications, autologous or homologous transfusions, the Solcosept microfilter provides both convenience and versatility in the removal of microaggregates from blood. The two-stage, 40/160-micron microaggregate filter consists of a primary inner 160-micron prefilter which traps macroaggregates, and a secondary outer 40-micron filter which retains microaggregates. This concentric filter configuration ensures efficient fractionated filtration. As a self-contained unit, the Solcosept microfilter with integral drip chamber provides quick and easy setup, as well as easy maintenance. Most importantly, the Solcosept microfilter is designed for quick priming. Designed for infusion of one to two units of blood, the low residual volume ensures efficient reinfusion of blood, and you avoid paying for excess filter capacity. The Solcosept microfilter is available in four configurations, from the basic filter to a filter with a "Y"-Type Administration Set.
