| Description | One of three software components that comprise the SmartPill GI Monitoring System.
Three software components comprise the SmartPill GI Monitoring System: SmartPill pH.p Capsule software, SmartPill Data Receiver software and SmartPill MotiliGI software. These three components are integrated and indispensable parts of the SmartPill GI Monitoring System and function together with system hardware to measure pressure, temperature, pH and transit time. The capsule software or firmware is embedded within the SmartPill Capsule's micro-controller. Software controls data acquisition and digitization of the capsules sensor outputs, formats the sensor data and Built In Test (BIT) data for transmission to the receiver, and controls how frequently the data is transmitted from the capsule. Additionally, the firmware performs power management of the capsules sub-systems for battery life maximization. Software is embedded within the micro-controller in the SmartPill Data Receiver and controls all sub-systems within the Data Receiver, including power management, received data pre-processing, data memory management, BIT, USB 2.0 interface, and wireless data transmission to a Personal Computer (PC). SmartPill MotiliGI software is installed on a PC and provides an intuitive graphical user interface. This software component receives and processes data from the SmartPill Data Receiver, stores the data in a file on the physician's PC, provides a summary of the SmartPill test, graphs for display purposes the data values captured during the SmartPill test, provides powerful data analysis tools, and affords the user a variety of test reporting and exporting options. As the screen shot illustrates, SmartPill MotiliGI software affords the physician the ability to quickly observe the entire test, and identify areas of interest. |
