  • Scans each medication and the patient's ID bracelet, and alerts nurses in real time to potential administration errors of drug, dose, route, time or patient.
  • Clinical checks such as allergies, drug-lab and drug-drug interactions can be performed at the time of administration.
  • STAT orders can be entered through the scanning process to perform interaction checks that are done by Siemens Pharmacy prior to administration.
  • Administration using bar code scanning can be documented in an electronic MAR.
  • Administration details are captured at the point of care and automatically documented in the patient's electronic health record
  • Wireless PCs and barcode scanners enables I&O assessments and other functions to be carried out ath the bedside
  • Enables to send messages to Pharmacy electronically in the context of the administration process, eliminating unnecessary phone calls.
  • Access to online drug monograph information allows nurses to check details about a drug and enhances patient education.
