Description SAFIRE is the worlds first monochromator-based microplate reader combining optimum performance and exceptional flexibility for absorbance and fluorescence application needs, all in one instrument

Features
  • Effortless selection of wavelengths without the use of filters just select your chosen wavelength from the pull down menu.
  • Absorbance, fluorescence intensity or time-resolved fluorescence at various wavelengths without changing any filters. Additionally it is possible to record full range absorbance, excitation and emission spectra.
  • The optimal measurement mode for each application: SAFIRE is the only monochromator reader capable of carrying out top reading and bottom reading at the click of a mouse to offer optimum sensitivity for either homogeneous or cell based assays. The additional well scanning mode enables correction of uneven cell distribution in any well.
  • Selectable bandwidth allows performance optimization of the instrument with regard to resolution and sensitivity.
  • A unique autofocus feature helps to optimize results by automatically adjusting the optical system to cope with different liquid levels in wells or variations in plate height.
  • Up to 1536-well microplates: SAFIRE is able to handle any microplate format up to 384-well microplates and in fluorescence mode up to 1536-well microplates, which adds even more flexibility when developing, running, or miniaturizing assays.
Additional features include
  • Full robotic compatibility
  • Excellent temperature uniformity
  • Linear / orbital shaking
  • Automatic wavelength calibration
Options

Internal Barcode Reader: Enables identification of individual barcode labeled microplates

Fields of Application
  • Pharmaceutical compound characterisation
  • Assay development
  • Miniaturisation
  • Cell-based applications
  • Basic research
  • Fluorescent dye characterisation
