STALIF™

ProductsSTALIF™
Company Surgicraft Limited
Item STALIF™
Features
  • Reduced operating time through anterior only approach.
  • PEEK-OPTIMA has FDA, ISO 10993 approval for its biocompatibility.
  • Radiolucency, for an easier and improved view of the fusion mass.
  • Improved loading between the implant/bone interface.
  • PEEK-OPTIMA has an elasticity modulus of 3.6Gpa, which is very close to that of cortical bone. This means that the load transfer between the cage and the adjacent vertebral bodies is optimised.
  • As the PEEK-OPTIMA has similar a modulus of elasticity to that of bone, the affects of stress shielding on the graft material is reduced which promotes better bone fusion, according to Wolfs law.
  • Larger medial lateral (M/L) width to prevent implant sinkage.
  • The larger M/L width ensures that the cage sits on the cortical bone at the edge of the vertebral body, rather than on the softer cancellous bone at the core. This results in less sinkage and loss of height / spinal alignment.
  • New retroperitoneal design is available, as well as the regular transperitoneal.
  • Description The STALIF stand-alone anterior lumbar fusion cage is the latest product development from Surgicraft. STALIF is the natural evolution of the Hartshill Horseshoe, which has over 10 years clinical success as a stand-alone implant.
