Description QuantiGene 2.0 is a reagent and probe system used together to quantify gene expression knockdown. The high throughput plate based system is a sandwich nucleic acid hybridization assay that provides a unique approach for RNA detection and quantification, by amplifying the reporter signal using branched DNA (bDNA) technology. Branched DNA allows immediate quantification of target-specific RNA molecules from a variety of sample types without RNA purification or target amplification. By measuring RNA directly from crude cell lysates, the assay avoids variations or errors inherent to extraction and amplification of target sequences. The probe set used in the system produces gene-silencing assays for over 22,000 human genes.
