The HST transducer also offers less grating lobe artifacts and less side lobe artifacts, which can lead doctors to more decisive diagnosis.

  • Aloka's unique Impedance Matching systemwith an advanced new Front End Technologygreatly widens frequency response.
  • Wide dynamic-range, 12-bit A/D converter offers high contrast resolution for displaying minute clinical information. For example, it offers as many as 4096 steps of informationthree-times the steps of information of a conventional 10-bit A/D converter (1024 steps).
  • DICOM-compatible DMS (Data Management Subsystem) permits easy digital image management, protecting it from image degradation.
  • Quint Frequency Imaging allows up to five different frequency settings for a single transducer.

The SSD-5000 is the second platform in our ProSound line of superior ultrasound systems.

The Pure Harmonic Detection technology provides distortion-free fundamental frequency transmission, offering optimum Harmonic Echo image quality. This technology is especially effective for obese patients and in a variety of technically difficult scanning conditions.
