Features
  • Multi-site Configuration: PowerPath supports multi-site and multi-entity laboratory environments to assist the pathology group in servicing a single or integrated health enterprise.
  • Flexible Transcription: True integration with Microsoft Word enables case transcription and allows for professional quality report documents.
  • Image Management: PowerPath offers the ability to easily capture and associate images directly to a case. Images may be used for many purposes such as inclusion on the patient report, tumor conferences, internal meetings, publications or as a teaching tool.
  • Internet Reporting: PowerPath offers the ability to publish patient reports to a secure web server and to notify the referring physician via email that the report is available.
  • Diagnostic Dictionaries: Client-defined diagnostic dictionaries for cytology and surgical pathology (such as Dermatopathology dictionaries) allow standardized reporting and faster report turnaround.
  • Paperless Operation: A secure electronic signature and online case review enables a truly paperless workflow, increasing productivity and reducing operating costs. With PowerPath, it is easy to access patient history information online, including previous case numbers, referring physicians, and diagnoses.
  • Coding Enhancements: PowerPath supports automatic capture of CPT codes and billing charges, including online ordering of special stains and additional procedures. The system also features a separate tracking for professional and technical charges.
  • HL-7 Interfaces: Standard ADT, Results Reporting, and Billing interfaces eliminate duplicate data processing with other information systems in the network.
  • Quality Assurance: Quality Assurance reporting for cytology meets CLIA '88 guidelines and includes a client modifiable cytology dictionary for fast, accurate reporting and automatic QC flagging.
  • Flexible Queries: PowerPath allows users to research cases using keyword, natural language, and SNOMED searches. The system also includes a standard program for surgical quality assurance, including frozen section correlation.
  • Open Architecture: PowerPath runs on an open platform in a local area or wide area network. From the outset, our solution was designed to run natively on a TCP/IP network and to scale to the enterprise. PowerPath's open architecture allows for direct SQL database access, TCP/IP, or serial protocols.
