Features Ultrasound provides a backup energy source for laser cases. Photon utilizes high performance fluidics common with our U/S platform. The disposable photon laser probe uses a standard silicone irrigation sleeve. The contoured probe tip is smooth, elimination sharp edges. It has a true cool tip, not relying on irrigation to prevent wound burns. The probe tip has multiple functions, including laser delivery and irrigation and aspiration. There is no vibrating ultrasound energy released into the eye. All laser probe can be used through incisions as small as1.0 mm. The eye is very quiet during and after laser cataract extraction.
