Features 
Description The PLIG instrument set consists of modular shavers and spreaders that restore disc space height, clean out disc space, and prepare the endplates for graft. The philosophy behind these instruments is that for effective interbody fusion the disc and cartilaginous endplates need to be completely removed. Gradual distraction of the disc space by 1mm steps in spreader width is promoted to control the level of distraction and provide room for full discectomy. An Interbody Fusion (Thoracolumbar) through a posterior approach. Increased control and ability to increase disc space height. Excellent bi-directional cutting action symmetrically distributed on both endplates. Control of instrument placement. Restoration of lordosis when using parallel bone grafts. Low risk for passage of the instrument past the dura and nerve roots without significant nerve root retraction.
