    • Description The USS Sports Medicine™ Ogden™ Sterile Anchor is a nonabsorbable repair device to attach soft tissue to bone using sutures. The device is implanted into a prepared hole in the bone and is used to reattach damaged soft tissue. The anchors are manufactured from Titanium (6AL4V ELI) alloy which conforms to ASTM (F136-92). The anchors are coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN) which conforms to (SAE AMS 2444). SUTURES SURGIDAC polyester sutures are nonabsorbable, sterile, surgical sutures composed of Poly (ethylene terephthalate). The braided sutures are coated uniformly with polybutylene adipate to increase surface lubricity, thereby enhancing handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue and knot run-down properties. SURGIDAC™ polyester sutures are inert and elicit only minimal local tissue reaction. They are also available dyed with D&C green No.6 colorant and are also available undyed (white). SURGIDAC sutures meet all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopeia (EP) for nonabsorbable surgical sutures except where indicated on the individual unit package.
