  • Addresses polyethylene wear with the development of the Condylar Radius Design.
  • Congruent in the coronal plane and provides low contact stresses.
  • Congruent contact is maintained with varus/valgus distraction, further reducing the potential for wear of the bearing surface.
  • The Condylar Radius Design provides interchangeability between all primary femoral and primary tibial components while maintaining line-to-line contact, even with joint distraction.
  • The posterior-referencing instrumentation creates balanced soft tissue by resecting the amount of bone replaced by the implant.
  • Provides for a consistent flexion-extension gap, and reduces the need for ligament adjustment.
  • The potential for anterior notching is virtually eliminated through the design of a 3 anterior flange and precise instrument design.
  • The Condylar Radius Design allows for a total of 30 of rotation, as well as rollback of the primary femoral component.
  • The Maxim primary system is designed to achieve up to 130 of flexion.
  • All primary femoral components interchange with all primary tibial components.

  • Description The Maxim® Knee System's curved-on-curved articulation maintains full inter-changeability. Modular tibial components offer excellent sizing options for better patient fit. The Maxim Knee system is a combination of AGC® knee's proven concepts with expanded options to address surgeon preferences and indications. The Maxim is indicated for use in total knee replacements both in primary and revision instances. Offered in cruciate retaining, posterior stabilized and constrained options for deficient collateral ligaments. The Maxim Knee employs Titanium Alloy plasma spray porous coating, which offers an excellent fixation surface. Biomet's own ArCom® processed polyethylene is used for consistent, durable and proven bearing material.
