  • Industry quality microarrays: Agendia uses customized DNA microarrays, manufactured by Agilent (one of the world's leading suppliers of microarray products).
  • Specimen processing: A review of specimen histology and RNA quality is carried out prior to microarray analysis to confirm test suitability.
  • Test confidence: Triplicate gene expression measurements and also duplicate sample measurements, incorporating a dye-swap step.
  • Test consistency: Each patient sample is tested using a constant, standardized reference, normalized to a constant set of breast cancer specific normalization genes.
Description MammaPrint is a gene expression profiling test that predicts the risk of metastasis in breast cancer patients. It is based on groundbreaking research performed at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and the Antoni Van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
