  • MAMMOTOME enables thorough sampling and control.
  • SMARTVAC™ computer-controlled vacuum system provides a high-speed, rotating cutter that gives you maximum control throughout the procedure.
  • Now you can selectively sample the target area of a lesion by rotating the aperture in vivo. Imaged evidence of the abnormality is completely or partially removed for a thorough biopsy.
  • The MAMMOTOME System is ideally suited for breasts in which the lesion is near the axilla. Its non-piercing option enables sampling of thinly compressed breasts.
  • MAMMOTOME is less invasive than open surgical biopsy.
  • MAMMOTOME offers unparalleled versatility giving you greater flexibility in the biopsy process.
  • At the end of the procedure, you can deploy a radiographic MICROMARK® II Tissue Marker directly to the site, providing a tool for use in the future to help identify where a biopsy was performed or where additional follow-up may be required.
  • The systems is compatibility with major stereotactic imaging systems.

Using computer-generated images to locate breast abnormalities, you can more accurately pinpoint and map the area you will biopsy and gather tissue samples without making large incisions.
