Description Besides pioneering read-through motion and low perfusion pulse oximetry, Masimo was the first to introduce many other breakthrough designs, including sensors with built-in intelligence. Masimo sensors contain an identifier that automatically tells the oximeter which monitoring mode to use. This allows clinicians to use sensors made specifically for the patients they are treating - neonates, pediatric, or adult.
