Features 
  • The Hi-Lo tracheal tube meets or exceeds the guidelines of the cuff criteria.
  • Thin cuff conforms to uneven tracheal surfaces to create low pressure seal.
  • Large cuff diameter of 1-1/2 times the average trachea maintains proper low-pressure seal during tracheal expansion and contraction.
  • High cuff compliance lies close to tube when deflated and expands easily without herniation. Allows more efficient visualization of vocal cords during intubation/extubation.
  • Large cuff resting volume together with long length reduces pressure against tracheal tissue. Offers better protection against aspiration.
  • Low intracuff pressure doesn't restrict tracheal tissue blood flow. Reduces chance of tissue damage, even during long-term intubation.
