ProductsHERMES-Ready Amsco 3085 SP Surgical Table
Company STERIS Corporation
Item HERMES-Ready Amsco 3085 SP Surgical Table
Features
  • The HERMES Control Center is easily connected to the table with color-coded cable and outlets.
  • HERMES-Ready Amsco 3085 SP offers immediate hands-free operation of the surgical table through either voice commands or touch screen pendant.
  • Observation-free audio feedback of equipment and patient position allows the surgeons' eyes to remain on the patient.
  • A HERMES-Ready hand-held pendant control is formatted to be nearly identical to the original Amsco hand control, so there is no additional learning required.
  • The user interface is easy to operate. Video menus appear immediately on voice command, and act as prompts for the next command. HERMES also gives an audio response as commands are activated.
  • Additional monitors can be utilized to allow other OR staff to track patient positioning.
  • Patient Outcome and Safety Benefits
  • Direct table control by the surgeon avoids miscommunication and frustration among staff during surgery.
  • Use of the 'intelligent' table can free up time for anesthesiologists and circulating nurses to use for direct patient care.
  • The hand-held control can override the voice control function if necessary for patient safety.
  • Standard auxiliary and manual Amsco 3085 SP table control systems serve as back-ups in case of control or power failure, and maintain safe patient positioning adjustment capability.
  • Optimal ergonomic positioning for the OR staff can be easily achieved without physical adjustment of the table.
  • The HERMES Personal Interface Card records and responds to only one surgeon's voice and commands, so that other voices and noises in the OR will not cause accidental response.
  • Voice Training is available through Computer Motion and Stryker Endoscopy to familiarize surgeons with the vocabulary, pronunciation, and speed of voice commands, and to record their voice imprint in the Personal Interface Card.
  • HERMES capability can streamline OR scheduling by reducing overall surgical procedure time and increasing staff productivity.
  • HERMES-Ready Amsco 3085 SP Surgical Tables are good public relations tools: they use leading edge technology, and can enhance the image of the owner and potentially increase facility revenue.
  • Current owners of Amsco 3085 Surgical Tables can request an enhancement upgrade to become HERMES-Ready. It is not necessary to purchase a new surgical table.
  • The HERMES technology has been designed with open architecture, to allow expanded programming for new devices in the future.
  • Includes Complete HERMES-Ready Table and HERMES Interface Cable.
Description The new HERMES-Ready Amsco 3085 SP Surgical Table provides state-of-the-art voice-activated computer 'intelligence' capability. The table can now be networked with the HERMES Control Center (available from Computer Motion, Inc. and Stryker Endoscopy) to allow the surgeon direct control over patient and table position. The surgeon uses either simple voice commands or a hand-held touch screen pendant to adjust patient position at any time during a procedure. The HERMES Control Center also provides video and audio feedback to the OR staff on demand.
