Description The DNA Expert: Detection of PCR, cDNA and Oligonucleotides

The Tecan GENios is an optimal microplate reader for a variety applications that are quantified by Fluorescence, Absorbance or Luminescence. The instrument is suitable to handle assays in
  • Microplate formats from 6 to 384 wells
  • PCR tubes
  • Cuvettes
Independent whether you have to quantitate DNA, or to perform fluorescence-/luminescence-based ELISA or cell-based assays, GENios offers exceptional sensitivity and flexibility. For the quantification of DNA or protein samples you can select between 260/280 nm absorbance measurements or a fluorescence readout using appropriate fluorescence labels.

As a multi-detection system, GENios will also offer superior performance for additional applications such as expression and transfection studies (GFP and Luciferase), enzymatic assays (kinetic), toxicology or environmental investigations. For cell based assays, GENios allows you to detect multiple labels per well and swiching from top to bottom reading is as simple as a mouse click.

XFLUOR provides instrument control and data acquisition by MS-Excel Alternatively, Magellan allows full data reduction with a versatile user interface and powerful calculation capabilities.

The GENios offers the performance, flexibility and features you would expect in a far more expensive instrument, for the price of a simpler, single mode instrument.
  • Absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence
  • Higher sensitivity through high quality quartz fibres
  • Optimized performance for cell based assays (high sensitivity in UV range, top and bottom measurement, customized filter set)
