Frontier® CRT-P Biventricular Stimulation Device

• DDT mode (programmable for atrial-based [DDD] or ventricular-based [DDI] timing) helps to assure continuous synchronization with intrinsic plus stimulation-based heartbeats.

Negative AV/PV Hysteresis with Search

• This feature automatically shortens the programmed AV/PV delay when a sensed ventricular event occurs during the AV/PV delay interval. This may provide hemodynamic benefits for those patients who may benefit from ventricular stimulation with a shorter than normal AV interval.

Auto Mode Switch

• The auto mode switch (AMS) algorithm allows the device to switch from the DDD(R) to the DDI(R) mode in the presence of atrial tachyarrhythmias.

Rest Rate

• The Frontier multi-site BV stimulation device includes the clinically proven Omnisense accelerometer sensor, and such automatic features as auto slope, auto threshold, Rest Rate (based on activity rather than a preset clock setting), and AutoIntrinsic Conduction Search (AICS).
• The Rest Rate reduces the pacing rate below the Base Rate when the device senses that the patient has been inactive for more than 15-20 minutes.
• This automatic feature can be used to provide a more comfortable and physiologic pacing rate during rest or inactivity and can help to prolong battery life.

Pre-Ventricular Atrial Blanking

• Pre-VAB can be used to blank sensed far-field events from the devices atrial sensing.
• This helps to ensure more accurate mode-switch behavior.

AMS Event and AMS Heart Rate Histograms

• These histograms provide a graphical representation of events occurring during mode-switch episodes, and can be used to help analyze device behavior during periods of atrial tachyarrhythmias.
