Description MNL 4404 & 4405 series Freezing Stages fit easily onto most microtomes. These thermoelectric devices have no moving parts and need only the AC supply and a trickle of running water for operation. Freezing starts immediately and can be maintained indefinitely. Stage temperature is adjustable so that optimum cutting temperatures can be set for different kinds of tissue. Our Freezing Stages are especially valuable for multiple sectioning of brains and other organs which are too large for cryostats. Stages can also be used to control the temperature of materials other than tissue and have been used in research on integrated circuits, photo diodes, liquid crystals, wax formation on fuel oils and even freezing concrete. Temperature control is automatic and can be maintained to 0.1 degree C. A sensor mounted in the stage provides temperature monitoring for control purposes. Temperature range is -35 degree to +60 degree C. Controller can be used as an independent thermometer and a microprobe is supplied for this purpose. All water tubes are self sealing. All stages require running water for operating. If a tap is not conveniently available in the lab, a circulating pump and tank can be used. 110 Volt Version Have you checked outVibratomes Sliding Microtomes?
